Dexter Overall, Office of Diversity and inclusion
Dexter L. Overall is a recent graduate of the University of North Florida, where he received his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, with a concentration in Higher Education Administration. He also holds a Bachelors of Social Work Degree from University of Illinois- Springfield and an Associates Degree in Pre-Social Work from Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Previously, Dexter served as the Graduate Assistant for Campus Activities at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida, and also served as Advisor to The Black Student Union, and the Campus Programming Board. He also served as the NODA Intern for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and holds the honor of being a Charter member of the Upsilon Xi Chapter, the first Greek Lettered Organization at the University of Illinois-Springfield. He brings experience in working with Student Organizations, Campus Activities, Orientation, Diversity & Inclusion and Fraternity & Sorority Life. In his free time, Dexter is a huge fan of the performing arts. He is the owner of Dexter L. Overall Productions, where he writes, directs, and produces original stage plays and films. His favorite quote is “Our lives begin to end when we become silent about the things that matter”. He is excited to be a part of the University of Michigan-Dearborn family. GO BLUE!!!
